The most accessible S-tier glowing mutation. Celestial gives crops a white starlight glow with sparkling particles. Appears during Meteor Shower weather events - shooting stars fall and strike random crops. Use Star Caller gear to redirect a meteor onto your specific crop. At 120x, a Dragon Fruit 10kg with Celestial = 850K × 100 × 120 = 10.2 Billion Sheckles. Best regular-weather glowing mutation in the game.
How to get: Wait for Meteor Shower notification. Place Star Caller on your highest-value, heaviest crop to guarantee the hit. Buy Star Callers from Twilight Shop or Blood Moon Shop whenever available - always keep 2+ in stock.
Electric blue glow with crackling lightning particles. Triggered during Thunderstorm weather when lightning strikes your garden. Unlike Meteor Shower (individual strikes), Thunderstorm can hit multiple crops at once - one storm can Shock your entire garden simultaneously. At 100x, Shocked is only slightly below Celestial but applies to more crops per event, often making total Sheckle output higher.
How to get: Plant full garden before Thunderstorm. Place Lightning Rod (from Gear Shop) to redirect lightning strikes toward your crops. Lightning Rod is rare - buy whenever available. Multiple rods cover more garden area. Thunderstorm notification appears at top of screen.
Dark purple hollow disc glow - looks like a black hole forming around the crop. Second-highest single mutation multiplier at 135x. Triggered during the Black Hole admin event where gravity drops and glowing orbs appear in the sky. Also obtainable through Space Squirrel pet. Combine Voidtouched + Eclipsed to create Abyssal (240x) - the highest combination mutation in the game.
How to get: Be online during Black Hole admin event (unpredictable, watch Discord/WhatsApp for notices). Space Squirrel pet applies Voidtouched passively. For Abyssal: need both Eclipsed and Voidtouched on the same crop simultaneously.
Golden sunrise radiance glow - sunflowers specifically in the Sun God event get a divine glowing transformation at 150x. Originally only for sunflowers but now any pet with Ascended trait applies Dawnbound to crops every 5-6 hours. Highest standalone single-source glowing mutation available to regular players. Neon pink-purple sparkly aura that glows in the dark - one of the most visually stunning mutations despite the modest 5x multiplier. Triggered during Laser Storm admin event where Jandelle fires lasers from his eyes at random plots. Also obtainable from Peach Wasp pet which provides consistent Plasma access. For Intermediate Players
Target Shocked (100x) from Thunderstorm. Buy Lightning Rod from Gear Shop whenever available - redirects lightning to your best crops. Also chase Celestial from Meteor Shower with Star Callers. These two events combined can produce trillions of Sheckles from a single session if your heavy crops get both mutations.
For Advanced Players
Get Luminous Mutation Spray from Lumina NPC in Fairy World for guaranteed 45x on any crop. Save Sprays for your heaviest, highest-base-value crops. Simultaneously work toward Ascended pet mutation (0.32% from Pet Mutation Machine) for passive Dawnbound (150x) without needing admin events.
For Endgame Players
Stack Celestial + Shocked on the same crop. This requires two separate weather events hitting the same crop - one Thunderstorm for Shocked, one Meteor Shower for Celestial. Combined: 12,000x multiplier. Dragon Fruit 10kg + both = 1.02 Trillion Sheckles. This is the practical goal for experienced farmers who track weather events actively.
Glowing Mutations vs Non-Glowing Mutations
Not all high-value mutations glow visually. Ancient Amber (40x) has a fossilized appearance without a traditional glow. Rainbow (50x) has a color-shift effect rather than a glow per se. Corrupted (20x) has a red lightning visual. The "glowing" search term typically means players want mutations with bright luminous light effects - the ones visible from a distance across the garden.
From a pure value perspective, some non-glowing mutations exceed lower glowing mutations. But the most visually impressive and highest-value mutations in the game are all glowing - Celestial's white starlight, Shocked's electric blue, Disco's RGB rainbow, and Dawnbound's golden sunrise are the four most recognizable looks in Grow a Garden's mutation system.
