What Is the Lunar Glow Event?
The Lunar Glow Event is a Grow a Garden event that launched May 10, 2025 and ran for 3 weeks. It introduced the hourly night cycle, Wise Old Owl NPC with a dedicated Lunar Points quest system, Moonlit mutation (2x during night), Bloodlit mutation (4x during Blood Moon), Night Staff tool, Blood Moon Shop, and Night Egg pets. Why Lunar Glow Is Historic
On May 24, 2025 (Update 1.07.0) developers removed the Lunar Glow Event expecting to move forward. Player response was immediate — the community had built farming strategies around the hourly night cycle and its removal disrupted active gameplay loops in a way most events don't. Update 1.07.1 dropped the same day restoring the event, now with the Twilight Shop added simultaneously.
No other Grow a Garden event has been brought back by community pressure. Wise Old Owl — Lunar Points System
Wise Old Owl NPC sits at the lunar platform in the center of the map. Submit crops with Moonlit (2x) or Bloodlit (4x) mutations to earn Lunar Points toward the 530-point reward track. Adding Gold or Rainbow mutation to the same crop when submitting increases points earned per crop. The Lunar Points system still runs permanently today.

Night Cycle Mechanics Introduced by Lunar Glow
Standard Night Cycle (Permanent)
Every hour night falls for 10 minutes. Up to 6 crops receive Moonlit mutation (2x) approximately every 40 seconds during the 4-minute active mutation window. Night Staff increases this crop yield by its charge count — a 10-charge Night Staff can add up to 16 additional Moonlit mutations per night cycle.
Blood Moon (Permanent)
33% chance each night becomes a Blood Moon lasting 15 minutes. Moonlit is replaced by Bloodlit (4x). Blood Moon Shop opens with exclusive items. Blood Owl Blood Kiwi and other Blood Moon pets are still only obtainable through player trading because the Blood Moon Shop no longer stocks them post-event.
Twilight Shop (Permanent, Added 1.07.1)
Added when the event was restored via community demand. Opens during non-Blood Moon nights with Star Callers Moon Cat Night Eggs and Night Seed Packs. Without the Lunar Glow reinstatement pressure, the Twilight Shop wouldn't exist — and players would have no access to Star Callers or the 850x Celestial ROI strategy.

Rare-Mythical. XP boost to nearby pets during night. Available from Night Eggs via Twilight Shop or Lunar Points rewards.
Uncommon-Rare. Small chance to duplicate nearby mutations. Night Egg reward with strong farming value when proc triggers.

Night Staff Guide
Night Staff is the highest-priority reward in the 530-point Lunar Points track. Place it in your garden during any night event. Each charge adds extra Moonlit (or Bloodlit during Blood Moon) mutations per night cycle — a 10-charge Night Staff can double or triple your mutation output per night. Charges deplete with use and must be replaced. Multiple Night Staffs stack.

If you submit Common crops during Blood Moon you're earning 15-20x fewer points per crop than possible. Always save your best crops for Blood Moon submission windows.
2. Skipping Night Staff milestone for cosmetic rewards: Night Staff is the only reward that multiplies future point generation. All other rewards are flat items. Getting Night Staff first then everything else is always the correct prioritization — it pays back immediately through compounding mutation efficiency.
3. Harvesting crops before the night mutation window: Crops need to be growing during the night window to receive Moonlit or Bloodlit mutations.
